We are For Her Foundation

Eliminating obstacles so that all girls can reach new heights, and all women can achieve their dreams.

FOR HER FOUNDATION (FHF)is a non for profit established to support charitable and educational projects designed to improve the welfare, status and potential of African women and children and promote respect for their rights and to support the advocacy work.

FHF was founded to respond to the reality that millions of girls in Uganda do not go to school because they lack access to sanitary pads and corresponding reproductive health education. And as such our campaign targets schools especially in rural areas to sensitize them and give them access to information , infrastructure and provide sanitary towels when ever we can .

‘FOR HER Foundation’ to Combat Menstrual Health Challenges in Local Communities

On October 8th, city lawyer Sheila Namahe and singer Sheebah Karungi launched the ‘FOR HER Foundation’, a menstrual health campaign aimed at addressing the challenges women and girls face regarding menstruation. The initiative kicked off with the distribution of 4,000 packets of pads in several communities and included a sensitization drive on menstrual hygiene. Sheila Namahe highlighted the issue of young girls engaging in transactional sex to afford pads, leading to risks like early pregnancy and HIV. The campaign calls for government support and civil society involvement to provide free pads and prevent school absences among girls due to menstrual-related issues.
